MUNDAKA, Spain (Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007) –Round 3 of the Billabong Pro Mundaka will commence at Bakio at 9:30 today. The first heat of the day will feature Australia's Adrian Buchan against Brazil's Bernardo Miranda.
World No. 1 Mick Fanning (AUS) will face wildcard and local Basque surfer Hodei Collazo (EUK) in Round 3. Reigning and 8X World Champion Kelly Slater (USA) will meet wildcard Tiago Pires (PRT) in Round 3 while World No. 3 Taj Burrow (AUS) draws the final wildcard, Aritz Aranburu (EUK) in Heat 13.
Contest officials are aiming to run all 15 heats today. Defending Champion Bobby Martinez (USA) received a bye in Heat 1 of Round 3 due to the withdrawal of Trent Munro (AUS) for family reasons.
