NO BILLABONG PRO JEFFREYS BAY SURFING TODAY

JEFFREYS BAY, South Africa (Wednesday, July 18, 2007) –Billabong Pro Jeffrey's Bay event officials monitored conditions at the contest break of Supertubes all morning before calling the event off for the day at 11am local time.

The event, the 5th of 10 on the Foster's ASP World Tour, has four more days in which to run one full day's worth of surfing. Event officials are confident that there will be enough swell to do so over the coming days.

One South African, one Brazilian, three Americans, three Hawaiians and seven Australians remain in contention to win the Billabong Pro JBay crown. Another call on competition status will be made tomorrow at 7am local time.
