BILLABONG PRO JEFFREYS BAY LIKELY TO CROWN CHAMP TODAY

JEFFREYS BAY, South Africa (Saturday, July 21, 2007) – The Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay, stop No. 5 of 10 on the Foster's ASP World Tour, is looking good to complete the remaining 15 heats today and crown the 2007 event champion.

After three days without any contestable swell, event officials made the call at first light to get competition underway. The long awaited swell has arrived in Jeffreys Bay and with soft offshore winds allowing for perfectly shaped right-handers, the world's best surfers are yet again getting a taste of what has been heralded 'the Dream Tour'.

Round 4 is underway in the clean and slowly building three foot (1 metre) swell, with some excellent match-ups scheduled during the day. First up will be former winner Joel Parkinson (AUS) against former finalist Taylor Knox (USA).
