BILLABONG PRO BACK IN THE WATER AT JEFFREYS BAY

JEFFREYS BAY, South Africa (Tuesday, July 17, 2007) – The Billabong Pro Jeffrey's Bay, stop No. 5 of 10 on the Foster's ASP World Tour, will kick into gear at noon local time. Clean three foot (one metre) conditions.

Contest Director Mike Parsons hopes to finish the last two heats of Round 3 before moving into Round 4. Round 3 heats will be 40 minutes long.

Current World No. 5 Joel Parkison (AUS), who will surf against California's Taylor Knox (USA) in the first heat of Round 4, is pleased to get things underway today. Parkinson's wife will give birth to their second child back home in Australia any day now.

"It's been hard and testing but that's what we do," Parkinson said. "We sit and we wait because we want the best waves and sitting here picking the eyes out of the conditions pays off."

Bede Durbidge (AUS) will take on Rodrigo Dornelles (BRA) when the hooter blows at 12pm. Logon to www.aspworldtour.com or www.billabongpro.com to watch it LIVE!
