QUIKSILVER PRO FRANCE TO CROWN CHAMP THIS AFTERNOON

HOSSEGOR, France (Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007) –The 2007 Quiksilver Pro France Champion will be decided at Les Bourdaines in Seignosse this afternoon. Only three heats – two semifinals and a final – remain to be surfed before one of the four remaining Foster's ASP World Tour surfers take top honors in France.

Defending Champion Joel Parkinson (AUS) will take on Greg Emslie (ZAF) in Semifinal 1. World No. 1 Mick Fanning (AUS) will take on Troy Brooks (AUS) in Semifinal 2.

Surfing will commence at roughly 3:10pm. The Final is tentatively slated to hit the water between 4:15 and 4:45. The official presentation will be held at the Plaze de Landais by Rockfood at 6pm.

Heat 1: Joel Parkinson (AUS) vs. Greg Emslie (ZAF)
Heat 2: Mick Fanning (AUS) vs. Troy Brooks (AUS)
