COOLANGATTA, Australia (Thursday, September 7, 2007) - The Association of Surfing Professionals has partnered with Go211.com in an exciting new venture that will take audiences behind the scenes at all Foster's ASP World Tour and ASP Women's World Tour events.
Go211.com, which was launched in March of 2007, has created the premier action sports social networking and online video share site. The organization has already established ties between itself and athletes/events in the snow, skate and BMX worlds, and its venture into professional surfing was only natural.
"The ASP is the type of prestigious body that Go211.com has and will continue to partner with," Go211 CEO Sean Aruda said. "Go211.com is all about bringing its audience the best of the best and that clearly is the case with the ASP."
Go211.com will first jump into the lineup with ASP at the Boost Mobile Pro presented by Hurley at Lower Trestles from September 9-15, 2007. In addition to showcasing the daily highlight reels, Go211.com will take the audience behind the scenes with some of its own athletes getting the exclusive story as the best surfers in the world battle it out in the cobblestone perfection of Lower Trestles.
"This partnership will be a great step forward in providing our fans with more video content," ASP International CEO Brodie Carr said. "Go211 has proven that it has built strong relationships with several of our Foster's ASP World Tour athletes as well as our WQS campaigners, and we're looking forward to this exciting new venture."
"We're stoked to see this partnership between Go211.com and the ASP," said 2001 ASP World Champion C.J. Hobgood of Satellite Beach, Florida. "Damien and I have been on the Tour for several years and just joined up with Go211.com as part of their pro team so this is really a great combination for us and one that will benefit all of pro surfing."
Daily video content for the Boost Mobile Pro presented by Hurley will be available at Go211.com beginning Sunday, September 9, 2007.
