LIENCRES, Spain (Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007) – It's straight back into action at the Rip Curl Girls Festival at Liencres Beach this morning, with Round 3 as well as the possibility of the Quarterfinals, scheduled to be completed today.
Clean, 1-metre (3-foot) surf and sunny skies are on offer, with more world-class action expected on Day 3 of the competition.
Round 3 will see six, 30-minute woman-on-woman heats completed before another call is made on running the Quarterfinals later in the day.
First heat in the water sees World No. 2 Samantha Cornish (AUS) up against World No. 10 Melanie Bartels (HAW).
The waiting period for the Rip Curl Girls Festival extends from September 4- 9, 2007 and needs just two full days of surfing to be completed.
