TOP 45 TO TAKE EASTER OFF AT THE RIP CURL PRO AT BELLS BEACH

BELLS BEACH, Australia (Sunday, Apr. 8, 2007) – There will be a whole lot of action at Bells Beach today, just very little of the surfing variety. Very small waves have prompted event officials to call an Easter Sunday lay day for the second stop on the Foster's ASP World Tour, the Rip Curl Pro presented by Snickers, today.

The Rip Curl Pro Music Festival will take center stage from 10am to 5pm while preparations to possibly run Round 2 of the Rip Curl Pro at Johanna Beach (a venue two hours west of Bells)tomorrow are made. There are five more days in the event waiting period and three full days of surfing remain.

The first heat to hit the water when competition does recommence will be 2006 Rookie of the Year Bobby Martinez (USA) versus Rip Curl Pro Wildcard Owen Wright (AUS). Another call will be made tomorrow morning at 7am.

Transcribed athlete interviews, audio files, hi-res images and television news feed details as well as heat by heat info are available at www.aspworldtour.com and www.ripcurl.com/ripcurlpro.
