GIRLS ASP WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPION TO BE DECIDED TODAY

SYDNEY, Australia (Monday, Jan. 7, 2008) – It's been a long wait for the girls competing in this year's Billabong ASP World Junior Championships but today, the remaining sixteen surfers will have their time to shine, at Sydney's North Narrabeen beach.

The just four rounds of competition remain which will see the 2007 ASP Girls World Junior Champion crowned at approximately 15h30.
Today's competition kicks off with Round 3 and will be followed by the Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Finals.

The winner of the 2007 Billabong ASP World Junior Championships will received US$3500 and will stand shoulder to shoulder with yesterday's Boy's winner Pablo Paulino (BRA) as the 2007 Billabong ASP World Junior Champions.

A total field of 48 junior men, 18 junior women plus four wildcards from eight surfing regions, featured in this year's Billabong ASP World Junior Championships which saw excellent surf at North Narrabeen for all six days of the event.
