IMBITUBA, Brazil (Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006) – Strong southerly winds wreaking havoc at Imbituba Beach are creating idyllic conditions at a neighboring break in Rosa Beach today. Event officials are in the process of readying the event site so that Round Four of the Nova Schin Festival can commence there at roughly 2:00 this afternoon.

Several Foster's ASP World Tour surfers are staying in Rosa Beach, which is 25-minutes north of Imbituba, and are consequently familiar with the wave. When morning reports indicated that conditions at Rosa were far superior to those at Imbituba, contest director Xande Fontes activated the move.

With only today and tomorrow to run the remaining 15 heats of the Nova Schin Festival presented by Billabong, officials are hoping to run the whole of Round Four (eight heats) this afternoon so that the Quarters, Semis and event Final can be run in 'cherry-picked' conditions tomorrow.

Every effort to ensure the LIVE webcast of Round Four up and running as soon as possible will be made. Heat by heat updates, images and athlete interviews will be posted on as soon as the mobile contest venue is fitted with an internet connection.
