MUNDAKA TURNS ON FOR THE LAST THREE HEATS OF THE BILLABONG PRO MUNDAKA

MUNDAKA, Spain (Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007) – The Billabong Pro Mundaka will complete the final three heats of competition at the main event site in Mundaka today. Clean three foot (one metre) waves are reeling through the contest area creating the perfect canvas for the top three rated surfers on the Foster's ASP World Tour – Mick Fanning (AUS), Kelly Slater (USA) and Taj Burrow (AUS) – and the defending event champion, Bobby Martinez (USA), to unleash on.

Three of today's four semifinalists have featured in the Billabong Pro Mundaka previously. Martinez, who will take on Fanning in the first Semifinal of the day, won the event last year. Martinez beat Slater, who will take on 2003 finalist Burrow (AUS) in the Final last year.

Semifinal 1 will hit the water at 11:40am. The Semifinals will be 35 minutes in duration, and the Final, which may be 40 minutes long, should hit the water at roughly 1pm. Logon to www.aspworldtour.com and www.billabongpro.com for updates and to watch it all LIVE!
